We were asked to provide solutions for Hachette’s new flagship headquarters in the historic Carmelite House on Victoria Embankment. The building is home to the Hachette group of publishing houses, and a diverse range of styles and solutions were required.
Manual Roller Blinds
Motorised Roller Blinds Integrated Client’s AV System.
The re-fit of 50 Victoria Embankment was a huge project with many challenging aspects for the architects and contractors. A huge square footage, tight schedule and state-of-the-art spec combined to produce an inspiring final space and commanding flagship headquarters for Hachette’s portfolio of publishing houses. We were asked to provide shading solutions throughout the building. We installed a combination of sheers, manual roller blinds, and motorised roller blinds which were then integrated with the client’s AV system.
The main challenge was combining products which worked on both the vertical and horizontal planes. Soltech Tensioned Zips installed to horizontal glazing combined with motorised roller blinds to the vertical glazing were the perfect, minimal solution, whilst our ‘Screen Essentials’ range of fabrics provided the right balance between solar control and vision through.
